Eric Priest, VP Asia-Pacific & CEO Feilio
Eric Priest is a veteran of the global entertainment business and an intellectual property lawyer with broad China experience. During the 1990s, Eric was president and co-founder of Westgate Artists, an independent music production company with international hits on major record labels including PolyGram and BMG. In the late 1990s he moved to Beijing, became fluent in Mandarin, and worked as a consultant to Rock Records, a key regional record company. He is an experienced copyright lawyer with law degrees from Harvard University and Chicago-Kent College of Law, and practiced from 2002 to 2004 with the global law firm of Dorsey & Whitney LLP. He is an expert in Chinese intellectual property and the Chinese entertainment industry, and has been quoted on those subjects in the Wall Street Journal and Radio Canada International. Most recently, Eric was a Resident Fellow at Harvard Law School's Berkman Center for Internet & Society, where he helped develop the Noank service for China. Eric has studied Chinese business and Mandarin language at major universities in China and the U.S.
